haha well, i guess it's no longer going to take 10 months to post my next entry

From today onwards, little red dot is coming to you live three times a week minus the politics, because honestly...it's really tiring to to blog about politics and there's simply nothing much to talk about except the occasional GST hike, elitist blogger, increase in public transport fares, increase in price of sugar, oil, salt, msg, another increase in GST.

Ok lah, looks like i can still keep the politics in.

im now being forced to blog by cheiron (velda khoo and azmi..cherri's MIA) who are all ghek-ing studious and hardworking by furiously banging away on their keyboards....but in actual fact are just updating their blogs. I seriously don't know how they do it..just blogging like there's no tomorrow, while i am here cracking my head and typing all the nonsense before this.

"YOU DO NOT HAVE TO THINK WHEN YOU'RE TYPING A FRICKING BLOG"...so says velda

Nooo...i have to, that's why i haven't updated this place for a year.

oh man, can't even remember what happened through out the course of this day. what to write about..what to write about....

be back in a while while i recover from my writer's block...

haha shall post this picture up since the entire cheiron has it on their blogs as well. for old times sake huh...

salu! after more than three months, the red dot citizen has finally returned to motherland! And since all the political parties gearing up for elections...The Chronicles shall also gear up together with her comrades. nayy

i'd usually like to refrain from using the word duh or aburden...u know...speak good english campaign and all but as i was watching Red Dot Propagan...oops i mean News 5 Tonight; i saw something that made me went duh, aburden and your mother lar all at the same time. As PM Lee was briefing reporters abt hw the General Elections will definitely not be held before the Budget Day, one kay kiang reporter gamely replied "So it'll be held after the Budget lar?".

Tsk tsk...always think before you post a stupid question to Lee-der.

Lee-der was spotted at PSA today handing out oranges to Foreign Talents and Local Minions in conjunction with CNY. Note: You can't buy votes with moh-penged oranges, locals are smarter than that. Two oranges don't compensate for a cut in CPF and higher bus fares...

notice the bee in turban? tsk tsk stereotypes....

news from the red dot...

Warwick University Slaps Singapore
....with rejection!
Ranked no. 5 in good ol' jolly Britain. Warwick University has stuck their high-bridged noses at us and gave our little red dot a miss, citing a lack of 'academic freedom' here (though there's some element of truth here, even the Long John Silver advert seems more enticing). This gives red dot youths another reason to start weeping and cracking open their piggy banks in the hope that it will get them a decent degree elsewhere.
This should be a good guideline for foreign uni-s intending to set up their campus here:
  • Critisism...of any sort is a strict no-no. if some new government policy pisses u off and makes you want to stuff a durian up someone's crack, then perhaps a trip to the country club, eg. american club, swiss club, british club etc for a bitichin' session over scones and earl grey tea might be of some help. But publishing a paper about it could land your ass in a grotty singapore jail cell, made famous by alumni members michael fay and nick leeson.
And after all, we do want to protect our young ones from the truth, ignorance is always bliss...right? they've been brought up to think that everything tthat has been done is for the good of them. now we don't want to pollute their minds, don't we?
  • Protesting. Yes, i know you guys call it peace gatherings or some other euphemism. But, truth is 4 or more people holding up signboards demanding for better canteen food could send the 20 riot policemen (decked out in full battle gear) storming the compounds and locking up everyone they deem unruly. On the brightside, it might be a good chance for some physical interaction with the locals
  • Books and Materials. That best-selling book criticizing a certain religion you've had and always wanted your students to use as reference material might just be on the banned list of publications here. This means less enriching lessons for the students and a shallower insight of the world.
Playboy magazine included...so don't expect any dirty magazines in the teacher's lounge.

Wow...my virginal post. My very first attempt at penetrating into the already consumeristeric blogging community.

While using my laptop to check my mail a few days back..it suddenly hit me that im seriously under utilising it...other than for watching dvds and downloaded episodes of Lost (legal, illegal?). I thought about it hard, real hard, what could i do with this piece of China made metal-cum-plastic

Gee, after blowing that much money and going through the hassle of configuring my router...is my laptop going to be doomed to a fate worse than buangkok mrt station?

Thus... www.littlereddot.blogspot.com was born!
